Saints Row 1 was the game that captured the gang culture but in more of an 80s-2000s movie interpretation to me. I mean a gangster game is not for everybody. Personally, I feel that the Reboot will be a great game, but I don’t think the gang culture they have had in the past will be all that much in the game and I hope they prove me wrong. I can go on with all this, but I do want to hear what peoples thoughts are with the SR gang culture and where they think it’s heading towards. I hope it can be like that in the reboot. The hydraulics you can put on the cars was dope, but I just wish there was a little bit more customizations with the lowriders such as different types of designs to put on the car. Id like to listen to Born 2 Die by Spice 1 while driving and do a drive by because I feel that’s G shi, but it’s all good. I mean honestly I didn’t like the music in the game because it wasn’t my type, but it didn’t bother me because I can choose to buy the songs and make my own radio station in game. I mean like they have a blend of the East, West and South gang cultures in the game which is a great thing to do. Saints Row really took different aspects of the types of gang lifestyles and made it their own.
I feel that’s why the game won’t be the same as before. I don’t think it will because everything nowadays is toned down and not as grimy as before because a certain community. For the SR Reboot to be a really great game and top SR2, it would have to take so much to do. I mean I wanted to see way more of a West Coast kind of style with the gang life in the game, but I’m very happy with what we got. Although, it does suck that the clothing items in SR2 wasn’t what I’m use to since I grew up around the Cholo lifestyle type of thing, but you can look G’d up in the game with the variety of customization they had. The lowriders you could create in the game with territory takeovers and the colors you rep was what I would have fun with in the game. I’ve played GTA SA since I was a kid where in the game you can see the West Coast Gang Culture and all the different gangs you have being brought to life which was dope, but to see Saints Row do way much more with their game about the gangs and making it an adventure to become the top gang was actually what made me fall in love with the Saints Row franchise a little, well I mean they did drift off more from the gang stuff after SR2. I feel like SR2 was an amazing game and the gang culture they captured in the game is pretty great. Gat Outta Hell was a game I actually liked after SR2 because I mean it was just a different vibe and just some other reasons. I played SR3 like one time from start to finish and SR4 one time, but didn’t finish it. I’m not really an OG Saints Row fan because I didn’t really play through a lot or finish the first game as a kid, but the first game I finished was SR2 awhile back around the time I became a teen.
